Sephora Fall Appreciation Sale Purchases
I like to save expensive items for the sale that Sephora has twice a year. It’s few and far between, so I try to make it count when the sale comes around. This year I had plans of buying other items, but I waited until the last-minute, and some of the things I really wanted were out of stock…wamp wamp.
I have a TON of makeup, and let’s be honest, I have quite a bit of skin care too. I just love them both so much though. I tried to stick with mostly skin care for the sale, because it’s pricey most of the time, and because I’m trying to use up the makeup that I already have.
Here’s what I ended up getting.
Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum ($52) – I love all of the Drunk Elephant products that I’ve tried so far. I tend to have dry skin, so a hydrating serum sounded awesome to me. It’s a pretty pricy product, so it went on the list of things to try. It seems decent so far, but I’m not sure I’m noticing a huge difference when using this. I need to stick with it, and see if anything changes.
Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple volume plumping lash primer ($29.50) Eyelash primers are one of those items you don’t need, but it’s one of those items you never knew you NEEDED until you try it. I honestly notice a big difference when I use a primer and when I don’t. It’s totally over the top, but now that I’ve used it, I have to have it. It’s white and tints your lashes to a white color, but once you add your mascara no one will ever know.
Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara ($25) I’ve mentioned this mascara quite a few times, because it’s just THAT good. I know I will use it, and I know I’m going to buy it again, so I figured why not save $5 in the process. It adds so much volume to my lashes, and when it’s paired on top of the Dior Diorshow lash primer it’s even better. If you’re willing to dish out $25 for it, you won’t regret it.
Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume ($120) I have a really hard time finding perfumes that don’t give me a headache, so I typically tend to really like the ones I find. This perfume is one of my favorites that I have used for a couple of years, and I happened to be out of it. I figured what better time to stock back up than when it’s 20% off. I bought a larger bottle than I normally would because of the discount.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo ($23) – I mentioned this dry shampoo in my Review of Dry Shampoo post. It is my all time favorite dry shampoo. I can live without it, but I don’t want to.
Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen ($65) – This product was recommended to me, and it has SPF in it, which I wear all the time. It has amazing reviews, so I figured I’d try it when I can save $13 instead of paying full price. I had intended to try a couple other Tatcha products, but they were sold out when I made my purchase. Hopefully I’ll try them sometime in the future. I have tried this primer a handful of times now, and so far I really like it. The sunscreen isn’t super oily like most other products that have sunscreen in them, and it has been very hydrating.
