Sarah’s Day x White Fox Boutique Activewear Review
I love Sarah’s Day (and Kurt). I think they are so funny together and I really enjoy their content. I had never heard of White Fox Boutique until a few Youtubers/Instagramers started mentioning it. It’s an online Australian company, which is why some of the prices are weird (conversion to USD from AUD). Sarah did a collaboration with White Fox Active, and after seeing the first couple launches, I decided I needed to get my hands on a few pieces.
I ordered two pair of leggings and one sports bra:
- White Jasmine Sports Bra Olive Clover Print Size Small $45.56
- White Jasmine Leggings Olive Clover Print Size Small $60.76
- Vinyasa Flow Leggings Olive Moroccan Size Small $60.76
This was the second launch of the Sarah’s Day X White Fox Boutique collection. The first collection had the Jasmine set in navy blue and white and Vinyasa in pink. There are so many pieces in the collection and they are all so pretty! It was honestly hard to decide which ones to try. It didn’t help that the updated collection was green, because it’s my favorite color!
I was really impressed with the White Jasmine Sports Bra. The fabric is a mix of 73% Polyester and 27% Spandex. It’s a really sleek and soft fabric, but it’s not brushed like Lululemon Align or Ptula leggings. The bra has removable cup pads, and they aren’t the super cheap cup pads you often get. They are thick enough that I don’t imagine them folding and bunching in the washing machine like so many do. It’s really comfortable, and the back is criss crossed and pretty unique.
I was also really impressed with the White Jasmine Leggings. The fabric is the same as the White Jasmine Sports Bra. The pattern is printed on a white interior, so the print does stretch out a bit when on, however, I did find them to be squat proof. These leggings are high wasted, and they actually have a drawstring waist. It’s kind of unique, although I’m sure it’s meant to help keep the leggings up, but the drawstring is stretchy so I didn’t really find it helpful in that sense. There are seams (although the thread stretches) above and below the drawstring so it’s not lost in the entire 4-inch waist band, which is also helpful. I probably should have bought the leggings in an XSmall, but I always like to buy a size small when it’s a brand I’ve never tried before. They still fit fine, they just don’t stay up as well as they probably could.
They Vinyasa Flow Leggings were also the same material as the White Jasmine sports bra and leggings. However, I think the pair I received must have been a defective pair. I emailed White ox Boutique about returning them. I could not get the leggings pulled up, because the thread in the waist band unlike the White Jasmine Leggings, didn’t stretch AT ALL. I 100% believe it is not a sizing issue, because after about a week, I was finally able to shimmy the leggings on, and the leggings fit fine, and were even a little big in the waist. See my email below to White Fox.
I recently ordered a couple pieces from the Sarah’s Day collaboration relaunch. I ordered both the White Jasmine Leggings Olive Clover Print and the Vinyasa Flow Leggings Olive Moroccan Leggings in size small. The White Jasmine leggings are great, however the waistband (seams where the drawstring is located) on the Vinyasa Flow leggings doesn’t stretch. I’m not sure if this is a defect, but considering I ordered the same size in both and White Jasmine leggings fit perfectly, I don’t believe it is a sizing issue. Please let me know what my options are in this case.
Like I mentioned in my email, not a sizing issue. However, this was the response I received.
Hi Stacy,
Thanks so much for your email. We are really sorry to hear about this!
The Vinyasa Leggings are designed as a firmer fit so I do apologise if you have had sizing issues! You are more than welcome to return these leggings for a store credit to use on a new item đŸ™‚
So although they were helpful in allowing me to return the item, they weren’t all that helpful for what the issue actually was, which was not a sizing issue, but an issue with the waistband seams. Anyway, I was able to shimmy in and out of the leggings and just decided to keep them, because I wasn’t sure if they would restock them again or not. Overall, they are nice leggings, with the same fabric, and supposed to be the same waistband as the White Jasmine leggings. The pattern is really pretty, and once on, they are quite comfortable. I honestly probably should have purchased an XSmall in these leggings as well, because they were a bit large around the waist and hips. If they restock the pink set, I might try buying those ones.
Overall I would recommend the Sarah’s Day x WFA collection. The pieces are very pretty and well made. They seem to be a high quality product as well. They had fast shipping from Australia and the pieces are priced well for the product.
