The Ordinary
If you’ve never heard of this brand…you should head to their website or Sephora right now! The Ordinary is owned by Deceim – known as The Abnormal Beauty Company. Their mission is to make high quality products at a price that people can actually afford. Here’s a statement from their website.
Everything we do is of exceptional quality. Today, quality is no longer defined by merely price points or distribution channels. Quality today means being authentic, being different, being functional, being beautiful and being sensibly priced, even to the wealthy. And we respect these principles. We choose to serve the educated, the curious and the intelligent who appreciate our dedication to this very genuine definition of quality.
I may not talk about it all that often, but I really love skincare. I first heard of this company many months ago while browsing the Sephora website. I purchased my first product in May of this year. Since then I’ve purchased many additional products. I can’t think of anything I’ve purchased that I haven’t been happy with. The price point makes it so affordable to try products that I maybe wouldn’t try otherwise.
Here are the products that I’ve been using! My favorites so far are the Rose Hip Seed Oil and Vitamin C Suspension.
- 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ($9.80)
- Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 ($6.80)
- Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone ($6.80)
- Caffeine Solutions 5%+EGCG ($6.70)
- Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ($8.70)
- 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan oil ($6.80)
Here are some similar products I was using before…which were way more expensive.
- Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Atioxidant Face Oil ($72)
- Sunday Riley Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil ($72)
- Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum ($52)
- Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum ($85 – I was using samples I received)
- Ren Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner ($35)
- Ren Clean Skincare Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask ($56)
- Moroccan Oil ($34)
Granted some of these items have a much larger quantity than The Ordinary products, however, for the price they are all still more expensive. While I love spending ALL my money on skincare (insert eye roll), if I can get a quality product that works for a fraction of the price, I’m 100% going to switch to the more affordable product.
Here’s the great news, for the entire month of November Deceim (which owns other brands besides just The Ordinary) is offering 23% off everything on their website. Here are some of the products I’m stocking up on. I would have loved to get more of the Rose Hip Seed Oil, but it’s sadly out of stock online. However, since it’s sold on Sephora’s website, I can restock for less than $10 when I do run out.
The great thing is, if you’re not sure what products to get, they have some great recommendations based on your skincare concern. You can find that page RIGHT HERE. They also have a 365 day return policy, so for the price, you really can’t beat trying their products!
