If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I started making polymer clay earrings and accessories. What’s the deal with that? Well it started out with my friend as something fun to do. I’ve always enjoyed being creative and actually have been sewing and crafting since I can remember. However, I quickly realized, that I very much enjoy the PROCESS of designing and creating and I was suddenly making more earrings than I could ever possibly wear. I’ve give a few to friends and family as gifts, but still I was enjoying the process and decided to try selling them!

So what is polymer clay? Well it’s not actual clay. It’s a polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material that requires baking. It comes in a variety of colors, but you can mix your own colors (this is what I do) and make a ton of patterns and textures too. Polymer clay is also a great modeling clay material. The great thing about earrings made from polymer clay is that they are super lightweight. So someone like me who has sensitive ears can finally wear statement earrings without them weighing my ears down and causing pain.
